How we work

The short version: we specify and select, partner factories build, we hold a working stock, and a person confirms every order before money changes hands.

1. Selection

Everything in the range starts as a sample. We buy from several manufacturers, wear the samples for a few weeks, and keep the ones that survive. Most do not. The things that get a product cut are always the same: a toe box that narrows under load, an outsole that hardens in the cold, a shell that wets out in the first serious rain, or a knit that holds smell.

2. Manufacturing

Our footwear and outerwear are produced by specialist manufacturers in China. This is normal for the category — the same factories supply brands many times our size — and we prefer to say it openly rather than dress it up. What differs between brands buying from the same region is the specification, the material grade and the level of inspection, and that is where we spend our attention.

3. Stock and lead time

We run a hybrid model. Fast-moving sizes and colours are held in our own working stock and go out in 1-2 business days. Slower variants and larger sizes are drawn from the manufacturer on demand, which is why the request step matters: we tell you which of the two applies to your order before you pay anything, rather than after.

4. The order desk

Every request is read by a person during Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM. You get a reply with:

• stock status for each line, by size and colour;
• the final total — goods, shipping, and any import duty or tax that applies to your destination, itemised;
• a realistic delivery window, not a best case;
• a secure payment link, issued by our payment provider, valid for 72 hours.

If a line is unavailable we say so and offer an alternative or drop it. We do not substitute without asking.

5. After it ships

You get a carrier and a tracking number by email on the day the parcel leaves. From there, Track your order explains what each scan state means and when to worry. If something arrives damaged, wrong or not as described, the returns process covers it and the return shipping is on us.
